The Cotswolds are well known for their pretty villages, stunning scenery and golden hued buildings which for many are the epitome of rural England.
The village of Buckland is certainly a wonderful example of this a beautiful secluded village nestling beneath the Cotswolds escarpment at the foot of Burhill. It is thought to have the oldest rectory in England, with an impressive timbered hall that dates back to the fifteenth century.
Buckland Manor is ideally situated for discovering pretty Cotswold towns and villages such as, the picturesque village of Broadway and the old market town of Evesham and is only a short drive away from Stratford upon Avon, home to the Royal Shakespeare Company and less than an hour from the dreaming spires of Oxford.
Whilst touring the superb Cotswold countryside you might like to visit some of the fabulous attractions that are local to the hotel such as Longborough Festival Opera, Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, Sudeley Castle, Batsford Arboretum, Bourton House Gardens, Broadway Tower, Snowshill Manor, Stanway House and Hidcote Manor Garden, Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon.
