Buckland Manor Celebrates US Travel & Leisure Award Posted on 15/11/2007
Buckland Manor in Gloucestershire, a member of the von Essen collection of luxury country house hotels, is delighted to be named as one of the highest-ranking hotels for service in T&L’s annual Reader’s Poll – the definitive guide to the greatest hotels worldwide in this month’s issue of US magazine Travel & Leisure.
The World’s Best Service list was selected by the influential readers of Travel and Leisure – some of the most discriminating travellers in the world. Buckland Manor was placed eighth in Europe, narrowly beaten to the top spot by Inverlochy Castle in Scotland.
Buckland Manor has also been voted number one in England in the T&L 500 – given annually in recognition of a winning combination of outstanding service, fine cuisine, luxury accommodation and superb location.
Buckland Manor, a member of von Essen’s Classic Set, enjoys an idyllic setting overlooking the Vale of Evesham in Gloucestershire. For 20 consecutive years, the hotel has retained three AA Rosettes and three Red Stars for cuisine. In 2006, Buckland Manor was also named ‘Best Hotel In the British Isles’ by US Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards.
